Phoebe, 6 year old female Labrador-cross / Owners, Betsy Hirst & Dave Bronstetter
Phoebe was adopted from a rescue group as a young adult by her
loving owners, Betsy and Dave. She was an anxious, high energy
dog who loved to bark at the doorbell and chase squirrels, birds,
cats and anything else that dared to cross her path. Over time,
Phoebe’s high prey drive and vigilance became obsessive and
transformed into aggressive displays towards the doorbell, new
people in the house, and other dogs on leash. Phoebe thrived
under the consistent and gentle handling techniques of a PUP
training and rehab program combined with intensive Walk’n’Train
outings. Phoebe has since become a pleasure for her owners to
walk. She has a much easier time making friends with other dogs
through social visits to local dog runs. |
