Fanny, 5 year old female Dachshund-cross / Owner, Jenny Gold
Fanny found her owner, Jenny, as a young adult with a complicated history and a life lived in puppy mills. Fanny exhibited extensive fear of men, traffic, loud noises, and sudden movements. Jenny desperately wanted to take long walks with her little dog but was generally unable to get past her front yard without Fanny slamming on the brakes in total terror and then completely shutting down. After a stay at PUP for an Intensive Rehab program and Walk’N’Train support, Fanny is now a happy and eager walking companion and can be seen striding with confidence across town from NDG to Westmount. |
